OMI was formed in 1979 by John J. Overdorf, Jr. after completing 10 years as a journeyman in the United Association of Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local Union #354. Dedication and hard work have let the company grow as a mechanical contractor serving the industrial and commercial markets. In 1987, the company purchased a complete sheet metal shop and added sheet metal fabrication and installation to its services, along with a trained service technician.
