History: Our roots date back to 1946, when Foster McCarl, Jr. founded McCarl's Plumbing & Heating in Beaver Falls, PA. The company opened a branch in Altoona in the 1970s. Shawn McCarl, took over as Independant owner of Altoona in 1996. In 2019, we embarked on the next chapter of our journey. After eight years of multiple executive and leadership roles with the company, Elizabeth Burke became majority owner. In 2020, we were awarded national certification as a Women's Business Enterprise by the WBECEAST, a regional certifying partner of the Women's Business Enterprise National Council.
